THE NOVICES

Crisanto A. Aceveda(Baco, Oriental, Mindoro), born on October 25, 1978 to Nicolas sand Isabelita, both farmers. A teacher by profession, he finished his tertiary education in Christ the King Mission Seminary.

 

Crisaldo C. Baltazar(Purok 5, Nangalisan, Solana, Cagayan Valley), born on October 24, 1990 to Macario and Zenaida. His father died when he was in college. He has three sisters and one brother. He is an OLAS graduate with A.B. Philosophy.

 

Aaron Dick B. Batistis(Naval, Biliran), born on January 19, 1989 to Benedicto, a teacher by profession and Mary Ann, self-employed. He is an OLAS graduate with A.B. Philosophy. He joined the postulancy formation in June of 2011 but did not finish the program. He taught at St. Francis School in Sta. Ana, Manila and lived with the friars. He applied to continue his Franciscan formation and was approved.

 

Jhoe Jhon G. Billones(#2A Banaba St., Gamayo Compound, Palmera Homes, Phase 3, Quezon City), born on February 5, 1987 to Jose and Aurora. He has four sisters and is the second to the youngest in the family. His mother and some sisters live in America. He is an OLAS graduate with A.B. Philosophy. He joined the postulancy formation in June of 2011 but did not finish the program. When he reapplied he spent his time in the friary of Sta. Fe, Isabela until he integrated himself to the next batch of postulants.

 

Christopher John Caracter(Donya Rosa St., Dinalupihan, Bataan), born on June 28, 1990 to Elpido, a carpenter and Emilyn, self-employed. He has a sister and is a nephew of Friar Samuel Salazar, OFM. He is an OLAS graduate with the degree AB in Philosophy. After postulancy in 2011 he entered the novitiate and left after almost five months. He expressed his intention to continue and his reapplication was granted. In 2012 he joined the group of postulants.

 

Stevenson C. Escartin(Barangay Lusabia St., Poblacion Tabuc, Capiz), born on July 26, 1991 to Tomas, a farmer  and Teresita, an OFW. While the mother was abroad for ten years he and his two brothers were under the care of their grandparents. Both his parents are now living in Capiz. He is an OLAS graduate with the degree A.B. Philosophy.

 

Wilmar L. Rosales(Brgy. Cacub, Koronadal, South Cotabato), born on January 16, 1989 to Wilfredo and Milagros. His mother passed away when he was six years old and his father when he was in grade six. He became a working student at the age of 11 and his teacher serves as his guardian up to the present. He has two sisters both married. He is an OLAS graduate with the degree of A.B. Philosophy.

 

Mark Angelo S. Vito(#142 Maharlika Highway, Danlagan, Lopez, Quezon), born on November 9, 1986 to Felicito and Aida. He has two sisters and his family is very religious and close to the Poor Clares. He is an OLAS graduate with the degree of A.B. Philosophy. He did not proceed to the postulancy. Instead he worked as a teacher in St. James College of Quezon City. He joined the postulancy in 2012.

 

Three other candidates will also join our Novitiate Program this year. They are Coonghe Sebamalai Austin and Michael Philip Suthaharan Bernardshaw from the Foundation of Blessed Joseph Vaz in Sri Lanka and Daniel Saw Kum of the Foundation of St. Francis of Assisi in Myanmar.
