Every year, all the Franciscan parish priests of the Province of San Pedro Bautista, together with the members of their pastoral teams, would gather together to refresh and re-charge in order to give more of themselves to their ministry. Last October 11-13, 2016 they once again gathered together for the Annual Pastors` Conference at Poggio Bustone Spirituality Center, in Botolan, Zambales. The theme that guided them in their activities is, New Triennium: Looking forward for better ministry and collaboration in the Year of Parishes as Communion of Communities.

The objectives for this gathering were: 1. to experience deeper bonding among the friars, 2. to update the friars in their responsibilities of their assigned ministry and 3. to look forward for a better ministry and collaboration as pastoral team.

Twenty-seven friars and 3 lay partners attended and actively participated in the conference. The Provincial Minister, Fr. Cielito Almazan, OFM gave his keynote message focusing on the challenges of pastoral ministry in the parish setting. Fr. Irineo Tactac III, OFM updated the friars on Formation and Liturgy, while Bro. Alejo Villanueva, OFM gave his update on JPIC. Fr. Esmeraldo Enalpe, OFM shared his thoughts on Pastoral Team Ministry in the Code of Canon Law, while Fr. Reu Galoy, OFM gave his knowledge on the Pastoral Aspect of Team Ministry.

The Pastors` Conference 2016 was facilitated by the Office for Missions and Evangelization under the leadership of Fr. Napoly Pasion, OFM, the Secretary for Missions and Evangelization.
